Through a devastating loss, I realized a valuable lesson.
As I closed the door behind me, what I noticed most was the quiet. Inside my home, everything was still. The emptiness I felt inside was overwhelming, and yet, I took one step forward and kept going.
In 2013, I was in a car accident that resulted in losing my baby. I was six months into my pregnancy with a healthy baby boy and one week later, I was not. It was strange to think about and felt unreal. Moving forward and continuing to live my life was hard at first but I found a path to peace. Fortunately, I have a very supportive family and husband. I am one of twelve children and together we all moved here to Vancouver, Washington from Russia when I was six years old. We created a life, a legacy, and have been here ever since.
Although facing such grief was huge, I have always had faith. The world is about so much more than me and the problems I face alone, all of us live together on this planet and I believe that there is a greater purpose out there.
Through family support, faith, and my work, I found my way to peace. Accidents happen and if there is one guarantee in this world, it is that life is full of the unpredictable. All we can do is make peace with what is and find a way to keep moving forward. Even when difficult things happen, there is always a way to continue and you never know what wonderful surprises are waiting for you just around the corner.
I have always been a hard worker and became a licensed REALTOR® the day I turned eighteen. Work has been a lifeline to me over the years, a way to regain normalcy. I love houses and people and enjoy what I do so much that I have never even considered doing anything else for a single moment. Houses are in my blood; my father was a luxury home builder for decades and I grew up around all the new builds, helping where I could alongside my siblings.
In 2018, life surprised me yet again in the best possible way with my daughter, Victoria. She is my miracle, and I am so proud that I have the opportunity to be her mother. Family is everything to me and I have always loved being part of such a large one. Being a mother is surreal and has filled me with a love that I did not know existed. What I realized along the way was that even if we cannot see the bigger picture at the time, everything happens for a reason. My life led me to where I am today, to my daughter, and I would not trade that journey for the world.
I have been a licensed REALTOR® since 2004. Whenever I am not working, I enjoy going to the beach, decorating, relaxing at home, and hosting events for friends and family. My favorite part of being a REALTOR® is meeting so many different people and having the opportunity to help them find the perfect home through my own expertise.
